New raccoon rules are currently in effect in Iowa

New rules developed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and approved by the Natural Resource Commission of the Iowa DNR, allows for year-round hunting and trapping of raccoons on private land.

ROGS Wildlife Service (Tony Huffman) is licensed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources as a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator, and fully insured.

 

With these new rules developed by the Iowa DNR, the removal of raccoons is no longer limited to the traditional trapping months of November, December, and January. Raccoons can now be targeted throughout the year to help minimize damage to field corn before it becomes vulnerable during the R3 (milk) and R4 (dough) stage of growth.
